Minsky, Artist, Founder, The Center for Book Arts: That's not a Book!
It's not Art! It's not Craft! The artist will lecture on the evolution
of his work of over thirty years. The presentation will be highlighted
with materials projected directly from the Internet, including web-based
book art exhibits, listserv discussions of book arts and other on-line
resources.

Directions from Manhattan are as follows:
Take the Queens-Midtown Tunnel or
the Williamsburgh Bridge/BQE to the
Long Island Expressway for 20 miles to Exit 39 - Glen Cove
Road. [It's just past the Grand
Central Pkwy (Northern State)
exit]
The exit ramp merges into Old Westbury Road
(which you might not notice) and
you
turn LEFT onto Glen Cove Road. Go 2.0 miles to Northern Blvd and turn RIGHT. Proceed
a mile or so to the entrance of the University (Gold Coast Road). Turn into the University and
stay to the right of the
buildings.
The road curves around to the left past
the Tilley Center to the next building,
which houses the
Museum. There is a parking lot.
Driving time varies radically depending on the day and time you go, because of traffic. It could be 40 minutes or 1 1/2 hours.
